I continue to travel to Mexico frequently, and after several years shooting in the rural communities of Chiapas and Veracruz, I am pleased to present "Betty and Other Stories from Rural Mexico, An Original Photo Essay by Annie P. Warren." These images explore the joys, struggles, and survivalist spirit of Mexicans at the heart of the country, its campesino and indigenous communities.  A collection of intimate portraits, documentary imagery, and text, this body of work offers a captivating glance at the beauty and hardship of daily

life in this complex nation.

In 2008, this show was exhibited at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture and the Moses Lake Museum and Art Center.
